What a great success the fundraiser for Banding Together was.  Banding Together is excited to see suchgreat participation by many companies and organizations that made this eventsuch a great success.  We want tosee this event become an annual one, opening new doors for Banding Together. We are excited to continue funding the current programs inthe Democratic Republic of Congo and hope that more support allow us to expandour operations to change lives, one community at a time. 

The money raised is going to our new initiative, The (mpasa) Lunch Project.  This program is reaching out to the youthof the DRC in the Mpasa Community who have been orphaned by AIDS and Violence.  Prior to Banding Together’s involvement,some 500 children were only being fed two times a week, many not eating any othermeal all week.  This led to large numbersof malnutrition.  The cost to feedthese children is not high; simply $50 will feed 500 children for 1 day.  With the money raised we will beexpanding this program, increasing the feeding days, allowing more meals to bebrought to this community weekly. We hope that through your continued support and donations, we cancontinue to grow this program to daily feedings for these 500 children. 

We are excited to announce our team traveling to the DRC in May,from the 8^th to the 22^nd, and hope that we can count onyour support in the future to see this continued growth of BandingTogether. 

Support is not just something you give, but an outward expressionof an inner conviction.
